Getting Ready for #GivingTuesday

Have you heard about Giving Tuesday? Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving, following the shopping frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. (This year it falls on December 3, 2019.)

Giving Tuesday celebrates giving and encourages activities that support charities and non-profits. There are many ways to participate in Giving Tuesday. You can make a donation to your favourite charity. If you use social media, follow and share #givingtuesday posts from charities you support. If you really want to make a splash, you can try your hand at starting a fundraiser, online or in your community.

At Watershed Watch, we mark Giving Tuesday by taking the time to thank our many supporters and volunteers. Whether you donate, volunteer, sign our petitions, read our newsletters or share our media posts, you are a vital part of Watershed Watch Salmon Society and the work we do for B.C wild salmon. We want you to know how much we appreciate you.

Maybe you can buy happiness?

Did you know giving to charities not only directly benefits the organization you support, but has lasting benefits to your health and well-being? Studies reveal clear psychological benefits to donating money to causes you care about.
