Roxanna FroeseWe are thrilled to welcome our new engagement manager, Roxanna Froese, to the Watershed Watch team!

Roxanna grew up surrounded by the mountains and rivers of the Fraser Valley. At that time, the rivers were still thick with salmon, and local creeks and sloughs were a clean place for children to play. In 2015, after noticing an alarming decline in numbers of spawning salmon in a local slough, Roxanna reached out to the city and community and founded the grassroots community group, Save our Slough (SOS).

Through her work with SOS, Roxana has collaborated with Watershed Watch over the years and has been a big supporter of our Connected Waters campaign. (She is also responsible for many of the fantastic photographs we use on our website and social media channels!)

Roxanna has worked in social media marketing, commercial photography and volunteer management. (Check out some of her work on Instagram @intherivervalley.) As a volunteer, on top of her advocacy for her local slough, Roxanna has helped out with restoration and trail- building in community parks, and is an active member of Chilliwack Search and Rescue.

As our engagement manager, Roxanna will be supporting our growing volunteer team, and doing public outreach, both online and in person. She looks forward to meeting you!
