Introducing our new Communications Specialist, Lyndsay Fraser
December 4, 2024
By: Meghan Rooney
Please join us in welcoming Lyndsay Fraser to the Watershed Watch team as our new communications specialist.
Lyndsay comes to us with a formal education in environmental biology, studio art, and a Master of Arts in environmental education and communication. Her eclectic background has led her to diverse roles over the years: developing sustainability-themed programs and exhibits at Science World BC, overseeing water and waste management communications at the Comox Valley Regional District, and writing K-12 student and teacher resources for Nelson Education.
Fueled by her lifelong obsession with natural history and biology, she strives to make science accessible and exciting for broader audiences, which is reflected in her work as a script writer for the YouTube channels SciShow and PBS Eons, and as co-author of the book 125 Nature Hot Spots in British Columbia.
Lyndsay Fraser
Lyndsay is thrilled to put her storytelling skills to work at Watershed Watch, further advancing our organization’s commitment to salmon and their watersheds.
When she’s not wandering about in nature admiring the birds, beetles, and everything in between, you’ll find her at home with a cat (or two) in her lap, a dog at her feet, and craft supplies in her hands.
Welcome, Lyndsay!
