Webinar: Salmon Watersheds in an Era of Climate Change

November 14, 2023

By: Dene Moore

We are so excited to be hosting an upcoming webinar with Dr. Jonathan Moore of Simon Fraser University.

Dr. Moore is a professor of biological science, resource and environmental management, and conservation and ecology of coastal B.C. at the university, and the head of SFU’s Salmon Watersheds Lab. His work has been published widely in scientific journals.

He is a leading expert on freshwater ecosystems and Pacific salmon and he’ll be speaking with us about “Science and Stewardship of Salmon Watersheds in an Era of Climate Change.”

Dr. Moore will update us on how climate change is impacting salmon across their life-cycle, from warming stream temperatures to changing ocean conditions to glacier retreat. With these new challenges come the need for society to act proactively so that salmon ecosystems have the space and time to adapt.

Dr. Jonathan Moore

Please join us live for this webinar on Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. to talk about proactive management for a sustainable future for wild salmon.
There will be a Q and A session following Dr. Moore’s presentation.
