Support our volunteers on Giving Tuesday

November 25, 2021

Giving TuesdayGiving Tuesday, falling this year on November 30, 2021, is the kick-off to our annual fundraising appeal. Giving Tuesday is a global day celebrating giving back through volunteering or donating to charities like Watershed Watch Salmon Society.

This year, we are aiming to raise $5,000 to support our volunteer program, all in 24 hours. Will you help us by donating to us on November 30?

Making a donation between now and Giving Tuesday will enter you into a draw for a $100 gift certificate from our friends at Hook and Vice. (Check out their online store here.)

Additionally, every donation between November 30 and the end of December will be eligible to win some very exciting prizes including gear from Patagonia, eco-tourism adventures, locally made treats and more!

This has been a very challenging year for wild salmon especially with the impacts of extreme wildfires, drought, and the recent flooding, alongside the cumulative impacts of factory fish farms, habitat loss, and poor fisheries management.

On Giving Tuesday, we’re making a push to raise awareness about both the state of B.C.’s wild salmon, and our efforts to defend and rebuild their numbers.

Some ways to support our work include:

1. Make a one-time or monthly donation. Funds we receive from year-end donations help us continue to advocate for wild salmon throughout the year.

2. If you use social media, follow and share our #GivingTuesday posts. Or create your own #GivingTuesday post, telling people why you support Watershed Watch.

This has been a tough year for everyone, and here at Watershed Watch Salmon Society, we are so thankful for all the support we receive from our community. Whether you donate, volunteer, sign our petitions, read our newsletters or share our social media posts, you are a vital part of Watershed Watch Salmon Society and the work we do for B.C. wild salmon. We want you to know how much we appreciate you.
