Rivers Day paddle
On Sunday, September 22, water advocates from a diverse range of organizations came together to celebrate the 44th annual B.C. Rivers Day. The crew paddled 22 kilometres of the Fraser River, from Langley to Coquitlam. Watershed Watch staff were grateful for the invitation to take part. The paddle provided many with a unique opportunity to experience the river from a new perspective. We saw seals, a jumping sturgeon, herons, racoons and more as we made our way downstream. The tides were in our favour and the rain held out until the last few kilometres. Check out some of the photos from the B.C. Rivers Day paddle below!
A big thank you to the Rivershed Society of B.C. and the Watershed Security Coalition for organizing this great event.
