A formerly confidential document, made public during the hearing process of the Cohen Inquiry.  A briefing note to the Director General of Habitat Management prior to a meeting with the BC Salmon Growers Association, the Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance, the Deputy Minister and other senior DFO staff.  The meeting was to discuss the “Challenges facing the BC salmon farming industry with respect to public confidence in aquaculture practices”.  It also states DFO’s commitment to improving public confidence in aquaculture and mentions that DFO has already been proactively working towards this.
