A fond farewell to our Operations Director, Dawn Roumieu

By: Watershed Watch Staff
After three years with the Watershed Watch team, our Operations Director Dawn Roumieu has moved on to a new role that will be a huge benefit to those in need in her community.
Dawn joined the Watershed Watch team in the fall of 2022 after many years as the coordinator for the B.C. Lake Stewardship Society. She had also previously volunteered with Watershed Watch to support data collection for Resilient Waters at Katzie Marsh in Pitt Meadows.
After joining our team, she hit the ground running. In addition to managing day-to-day operations needs, her passion for environmental education and community organizing was integral to our public engagement work.
Dawn is now the Executive Director of the People’s Pantry Food Recovery Society, a non-profit that works with local food retailers to help Tri-Cities residents facing food insecurity.
We miss having Dawn on our team but are excited to see her work benefit the Tri-Cities community, including residents in our home watershed of Coquitlam!
