Join us for a socially-distanced shoreline clean up, Aug 22 & 23

On Aug. 22 & 23, please join us for a socially-distanced weekend of cleaning up our shorelines! We’ve had to be apart this sumner, but that doesn’t mean we can’t keep helping salmon, and cleaning up our shorelines benefits wild salmon and our local ecosystems. RSVP and find out more on Facebook.

Here’s how the event will go:

1. Identify a local shoreline to clean! This can be your local stream, river, beach, even your backyard.

2. Gather secure bags for garbage and put on some gloves and closed-toe footwear. It’s important to stay safe while collecting garbage so don’t forget to gear up!

3. Head out to your local shoreline! Pick up any bits of garbage you see: plastic bags and bottles, glass, paper, etc. Avoid causing damage to the ecosystem. When done, properly dispose of garbage and recycling. Contact us if you have any questions about what can or can’t be recycled.

4. Let us know how it went! Please send us any photos you took to be entered to win some awesome prizes from Patagonia. Use the hashtag #WWSSshorelinecleanup on any photos you share on social media.
