Take part in Salmon Spawn Watch 2025!
October 30, 2025
By: Watershed Watch Staff
As autumn settles in and B.C.’s streams fill with falling leaves and rain, salmon are returning home to spawn, completing one of nature’s most incredible journeys.
Each fall, salmon fight their way back from the ocean to the very creeks where they were born. It’s an inspiring reminder of their resilience in the face of so many challenges, from low water flows and warming oceans to habitat loss, factory fish farms, and other pressures.
Now’s the time to grab your camera (and your raincoat!) and head to your local salmon-bearing creek to witness this timeless migration and take part in Salmon Spawn Watch 2025!
