Meet our Summer Engagement Team!

The warm weather is here and we have a brand new engagement team joining us for the summer. Ellika, Elanor, Kieran and Elise will be organizing and attending events in Victoria and around the lower mainland to meet people in their communities and talk to them about wild salmon. Meet our new team!

Ellika Cairns

Ellika Cairns, Engagement Manager

Ellika first joined us as a summer engagement assistant and we just couldn’t let her go. Now Ellika is managing the summer engagement team and working with our growing community of volunteers.

 

Elanor TeelElanor Teel, Engagement Assistant

Elanor is thrilled to join our team as a summer outreach and engagement assistant in Victoria. She is currently in her third year at UVic studying Political Science and Environmental Studies. Elanor grew up on the coast of B.C. and is passionate about its conservation. Elanor is excited about meeting new people at a wide range of events, and inspiring them to take action for wild salmon.

Kieran SimpsonKieran Simpson, Engagement Assistant

Kieran is also joining our team as a summer outreach and engagement assistant in Victoria. He studied Communications at UVic focussing on environmental issues. His passion for environmental conservation developed growing up in the mountainous Kootenay region. Kieran is looking forward to working with volunteers and putting his communications skills to work.

EliseElise Carelse, Engagement & Field Work Assistant

Elise is excited to be joining our team this summer as an Engagement and Field Work Assistant. She is entering her third year at SFU studying Environmental Science with a concentration in applied Biology. Growing up in the Fraser Valley, Elise has spent her whole life learning about the natural world and has developed a passion for conservation and ecology. This summer, Elise will be busy out in the field collecting data, and organizing events at our restoration sites.
